Hi - here's a bit of an update on happenings of late.

BLUE AND GREEN SHOULD ALWAYS BE SEEN

Scrumptious food. Great Wine. Outstanding music - that's what A Day On The Green is all about.

And the best one yet took place at Rochford Wines on March 12 as the Liberation Blue stable of greats performed their instantly recognisable hits for thousands of fans.

And those fans came in all shapes and sizes, young and old - poignantly demonstrated at one stage late in the sun-drenched afternoon as a mother and her teenage daughter locked arms near front of stage and passionately belted out the chorus to Diesel's "Cryin' Shame"This was a defining moment of what the event was all about, proving there was something for everyone.

Also unleashing their best from Liberation Blue's successful Acoustic Series, bringing ``the Green'' to its feet were Nick Barker kick-starting the day with gusto, followed by Christina Anu mesmerising one and all with her stunning vocals.

Enter Stephen Cummings, who stripped it all back for some raw acoustic charm, old favourite Joe Camilleri kicked up his heels for a good time on stage and Diesel and his talented ensemble stepped up the funk-o-meter before crowd favourites Mark Seymour and James Reyne lifted the show to its climax and brought it all home with a cracking, closing cover of April Sun In Cuba.

Liberation Blue chairman Michael Gudinski said the series began as a tribute to some of the great singer/songwriters who have shaped the distinctive musical character of Australia.

``The public response to date has exceeded all my expectations and confirmed the timeless quality of their art. This day has been a wonderful way to put it all on show and at such a great venue where everyone has had such a great day.''
